Nigerian actress Uche Ogbodo has disclosed that dissatisfaction with her appearance prompted her to undergo a non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedure.
Ogbodo was no stranger to cosmetic surgery. PREMIUM TIMES earlier reported that she was among the actresses who had undergone bum enlargement surgery.

The actress shared the revelation in a day-one post-procedure documentary, which she posted on her Instagram page on Friday.
Facial rejuvenation encompasses cosmetic treatments that help restore a younger appearance by addressing concerns such as loose skin, wrinkles, sunspots, and loss of facial volume. The treatments can be either non-surgical or surgical.

Ogbodo, 40, stressed that she was not trying to achieve perfection. She said her goal was to look refreshed, youthful and confident while still looking like herself.
She said, “This is day one after my facial rejuvenation. This is a raw video, no filter. Everywhere is swollen.
My whole face is swollen. Honestly, I don’t know. I look so different.
I don’t even- I don’t like how I look. But I think I’m, it’s gonna get better. The doctor told me it’s gonna get better. I look fine now. So let’s see what happens.
“Day 1 of giving my face the love, care and attention it deserves. I’m not chasing perfection. I’m simply choosing to look refreshed, youthful, confident and very much like myself. No hiding. No apologies. No pressure to age a certain way. This is my face. My journey. My choice. And baby, are we about to glow or what? Goddess mode activated.”

Ogbodo also advised people dissatisfied with their appearance to consider facial rejuvenation, provided they can afford it.
According to her, she chose to alter her appearance because she could afford the cost.
“I’m a woman who believes in one thing: if you don’t like it, change it. I’m not about to sit down and complain about something I have the power to improve. I love my face, I love myself, but babes, we can always upgrade! So yes.
“I went to Marvels Aesthetics Hub for my facial rejuvenation, and baby, they understood the assignment! I had threads + fillers + PDO done to lift, restore volume, smooth out lines and give me that fresh, youthful, well-rested look, without surgery”, she said.
The actress stressed that anyone seeking to enhance their appearance should prioritise safety by undergoing the procedure at a recognised medical facility staffed by qualified doctors.

Backstory
The actress’s decision to undergo facial rejuvenation came a month after she announced her separation from her husband, Bobby Maris, following eight years of marriage.
Ogbodo said she was tired of the “princess” who married her, adding that she had devoted eight years of her life to the relationship.

She also questioned whether she would have to die before the “crown of thorns” would fit her properly.
She further questioned why society considers it unacceptable for a woman to admit that she is tired of her marriage, asking what offence she had committed by choosing to seek happiness.
The actress rose to prominence in 2006 after making her acting debut in “Another Bondage.”
Since then, she has appeared in several films, including “Four Sisters”, “Players”, “Your Holiness”, “Your Last Action”, “Honour My Will”, “The Laptop” and “Royal Palace.”
