OPay, a leading fintech company in Nigeria, has received two major honours at the 5th edition of the Consumers Value Awards (CVA), further highlighting the strong confidence Nigerian consumers place in the fintech brand.
At the awards ceremony held on Wednesday, 23 September 2026, in Ikeja, Lagos, OPay emerged winner of the Most Trusted Brand Award (FinTech) and the Most Consumer Friendly/Innovative FinTech Brand Award.

OPay secured 70.1 per cent of the total valid votes to win the Most Trusted Brand (FinTech) category, while it recorded 70.2 per cent in the Most Consumer Friendly/Innovative FinTech Brand category.
The awards are particularly significant because they are based on a nationwide consumer voting process. According to the Consumers Value Awards, consumers nominate brands they believe have delivered value, after which shortlisted nominees proceed to a public voting exercise. The brand with the highest number of valid votes in each category is declared the winner.

The recognition, therefore, represents more than an industry honour; it reflects the choices of consumers who use and interact with financial technology brands in their everyday lives.
Speaking on the awards, Odiase Ikponmwosa Kolawole, Head of Partnerships, OPay, said the recognition reflected the relationship the company has built with its customers.
