Sports streaming platform DAZN has secured the rights to broadcast LaLiga EA Sports across Sub-Saharan Africa for the next three seasons, including Nigeria.
Under the agreement with LaLiga, DAZN subscribers across 48 markets will have access to all 380 matches in each season from 2026/27 through 2028/29.

The coverage begins this weekend, giving football fans in Nigeria and other Sub-Saharan African countries access to the Spanish top flight through live and on-demand broadcasts.
The agreement comes as LaLiga continues to attract interest in Africa, with several African players featuring in the competition.

Nigeria internationals Ademola Lookman and Chidera Ejuke are among the players in LaLiga, adding a local interest for Nigerian viewers following the competition.
Lookman joined Atlético Madrid after establishing himself as one of Europe’s leading attackers, while Ejuke is also competing in Spain. Their presence means Nigerian fans will have an added reason to follow the league alongside its traditional attractions, including Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atlético Madrid.
DAZN will show all LaLiga matches in English and Spanish, alongside highlights, archive footage, weekly programming and behind-the-scenes content.
The rights cover Nigeria as well as Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Comoros, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Côte d’Ivoire, Mali, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Seychelles, South Africa, Eswatini, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe, among other territories.
The deal represents an expansion of DAZN’s presence in Africa, following the launch of FIFA+ on the platform earlier this year.
Through FIFA+, DAZN has made live and on-demand content from several African domestic leagues available to viewers, including competitions in Burkina Faso, Malawi, The Gambia, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Mali, Burundi, Botswana, Tunisia, Morocco and Côte d’Ivoire.
“LALIGA is home to some of the biggest clubs, players and rivalries in world football, and we are delighted to expand our longstanding partnership by bringing every match to fans across Sub-Saharan Africa over the next three seasons,” DAZN Group CEO, Shay Segev, said.

“Earlier this year, we expanded that offering through the launch of FIFA+ on DAZN, which includes dozens of African domestic leagues and competitions on our platform. This agreement further reinforces our commitment to football fans across Africa and strengthens DAZN’s position as the global home of sport.”
LaLiga president Javier Tebas said the agreement would make it easier for fans across the region to follow the competition.

“Sub-Saharan Africa is a region with enormous passion for football and a growing community of LALIGA fans. Through this agreement with DAZN, we are strengthening our long-standing relationship with one of our most important global partners and making it easier than ever for millions of fans across the region to follow every match of our competition,” Mr Tebas said.
The partnership extends an existing relationship between DAZN and LaLiga, with the two organisations already working together in markets including Spain, Italy, Japan, Portugal, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France.
For Nigerian viewers, the agreement provides another avenue to follow Spanish football throughout the season, particularly with Nigerian players featuring in the competition.
